Mrs. Sara Lavona Dunlap

Sara Lavona Dunlap, 85, of Apopka FL passed away on August 4, 2024. Sara was born on February 15, 1939 to the late Howard and Cora Heatherly in LaFollette, TN. Sara is preceded in death by her husband Stewart Dunlap; her daughter Shelley Hohman; grandson Sean Hohman; brother Harold 'Buster' Heatherly; sister Joanne Paulk; and nephew David Heatherly. Sara is survived by her daughter Sheryl Radford and son-in-law Don Radford of Apopka FL; son Scott Dunlap and daughter-in-law Sherie Dunlap of Leesburg FL. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; brother Ben Heatherly and sister-in-law Pam Heatherly of Ocala FL; sister-in-law Dorothy Heatherly of LaFollette, TN; 7 nieces and 1 nephew. She also has several great-nieces and great-nephews; and many dear friends. Sara was a kind, beautiful person inside and out. She found most of her life's joy in loving and spending time with her family and friends. Sara worked in business administration most of her adult life, including working for and retiring from Advent Health. Sara believed God blessed her with a long, full life. Although her life had many struggles and challenges, she rose above them with God's help and the love of her family. Words cannot describe how much we will miss her; but thankful she is now with God and reunited with family in Paradise.
