Sara Gomez Rodriguez, 80, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023. She was born in Guatemala, on June 7, 1943 to the late Leonardo Gomez Barrera and Sebastiana Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Betsy Medina.
Sara is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Roque and Yesenia Medina, Gruk and Lesbia Medina, Douglas Medina; daughters and son-in-law, Maria Isabel and Luis Morataya, Sandra Medina, Adelaida Medina; brother, Manuel Gomez; sisters, Enma Gomez, Evangelina Gomez, Angela Gomez; grandchildren, Sarahi Cifuentes, Bryan Cifuentes, Hendrick Cifuentes; Kevin Morataya, Daniel Morataya, Pamela Morataya, Michel Morataya, Ximena Morataya, Leonardo Medina, David Medina, Roque Medina, Isaac Medina, Elivan Medina; Katerine Medina, Ana Paula Medina, Cristel Medina, Diego Medina, Ximena Medina, Liz Juarez, Evelyn Juarez, and Diana Juarez; great-grandchildren, Julian Morataya, Daniel Morataya, Isabella Morataya, Alexa Morataya, Patrick Juarez, Tabata Juarez, Katrel Juarez, Grace Araujo, Cataleya Mendoza, Mia Valentina Juarez, and Victor Vicente Medina.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, from 12:00 Noon until the service hour at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Sara Gomez Rodriguez.
