Sara Michelle Ennis Wilson, 58, of Mebane, NC passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

A native of Goldsboro, NC, she was the daughter of John "Richard" Ennis and Sarah "Toni" Rhodes Ennis, who survive. Other survivors include her children, Sydney Carpenter and husband Dale Carpenter, II and Gabe Wilson and wife Beth-Ann Wilson; a granddaughter on the way, Madeline Grace Carpenter; brother, Christian Ennis and wife Holly and their son and step-son, Landon and Jaxson; uncles, William Rhodes and Linwood Rhodes; longtime partner, David Dalton; grand dogs, cats, and horses; and ex-husband, Kelly Wilson and wife Dana.

Michelle was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and earned her Masters' Degree at North Carolina A&T State University. She was formerly employed as a Daycare Director at Emmanuel Daycare in Burlington. Most recently, she was a Special Populations Coordinator at Chapel Hill High School. Michelle was National Board Certified and a key leader in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) branch at Chapel Hill High. She volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and organized many foods related banquets, food drives, and fundraisers. She contributed to helping kids in the school system and was an extended mom to children.

Michelle enjoyed shows, plays, and concerts especially Bob Dylan concerts. She loved the beach, especially the outer banks, traveling, any kind of music trivia, documentaries, and shopping. Michelle loved her family and always wanted to be surrounded by them in everything that she did.

A memorial service will be conducted at the First United Methodist Church of Graham on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends following the service.
