Sarah Pavano Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Abbey Cremation Service - Rocky Hill on Mar. 31, 2026.
Sarah Elizabeth Pavano, 50, of Middletown, Connecticut, Born February 9, 1976, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. Sarah was a devoted daughter, sister, companion, and friend whose warmth, laughter, and love of life touched all who knew her.

She is survived by her parents, Gerald and Elizabeth Pavano; her brother Jeremy Pavano; her sister Heather Shovlin; and her close and long-time companion of more than 20 years, Dominic Magarone. Sarah cherished her many aunts, uncles, and cousins and was a devoted companion to her beloved cats, Teddy and Percy. An avid music lover and enthusiastic karaoke singer, Sarah could always be found with a song in her heart. If given the opportunity, she would spend every day at the beach. The classic film "Gone with the Wind" connected with her for a life long love.

If you knew Sarah, you would know that she opened up and gave a hundred percent of her to you, good bad or indifferent. She was very smart, artistic and musical. She had strong opinions and beliefs though her open-mindedness allowed comfort to many. Her humor, attitude, smile and warmth will be missed. Sarah will be remembered for her fierce love of family and close friends, her generous spirit, and the joy she brought into ordinary moments and never forgotten by those who got the chance to know her.

No services will be held. If anyone wishes to make a donation on her behalf, please donate to the American Cancer Society or local Animal Rescue Organization.
