64 year old, Sarah Sholey, of Wheatfield, passed away on April 15, 2025.
On May 25, 1960, Sarah was born to William and Shirley (Stroup) Yeoman in Rensselaer, Indiana. Sarah graduated from Kankakee Valley High School, class of 1978, then got a Bachelor of Science Degree from IU Northwest. Sarah married the love of her life, Bill Sholey, on February 14, 1985. She worked as a teacher for the Gary School System, at Lewallace High School and then Gary Career Center. Sarah enjoyed crochet, baking cookies, and Christmas. She adored butterflies, and loved to have her students hatch monarch butterflies. Sarah’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.
Sarah is survived by her children: James (Leann) Sholey, Victoria (Adam) Kressen, 6 grandchildren, siblings: David Yeoman, Mary (Michael) Sholey, dear friend: Chris Nichols, and her many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, and husband: Bill Sholey.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, IN 46392. Services for Sarah will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the funeral home with Pastor Don Gear officiating. Interment at Weston Cemetery will be on a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Robert Fase Senior Center or West Central Band Program.
