Sarah Bryant Strader, 85, of Reidsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on January 19, 2025, at Annie Penn Hospital.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Mt. Carmel Global Church Cemetery, with Terry Larsen officiating. A visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home prior to the service.
Born in Rockingham, NC, Sarah moved to Reidsville after school with her two best friends, where she met the love of her life, Bryant Strader. The two had been married for 64 years. Sarah dedicated much of her career to working as a lab tech manager at Annie Penn Hospital, but above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family—especially her three sons and their families.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Lynnwood Bryant and Roberta Bryant; and her sisters Carolyn Guinn, Edna Strader, and Jerri Williams and her brother, James Bryant.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Bryant Wesley Strader; her three sons, Greg (Wendy), Wes (Meredith), and Ben (Becki); her grandchildren, Bryant Strader, Cole Strader, Samuel Strader (Kara), Reilly Strader, Merrick Michaels (Alyssa), Wesley A. Strader (Maggie), Adam Strader, Lyndsey Strader Damon (Levi), Reagan Michaels (Maggie), Peyton Michaels (Anna), Claire Strader, Landon Strader, Jake McTague, Alexandra Strader, and Grace Strader; her great-grandchildren; Liberty Hitzges, America Hitzges, and Lincoln Michaels. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard Bryant, Ray Bryant, Bobby Bryant, and Cecil Bryant.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church.
