Mrs. Sarah Todd Turner Utsey, age 92 years, of Stephens, Arkansas, died Thursday, April 16, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the daughter of the late Dallas Todd and the late Everlena Sutton Todd.
She married twice, first to PFC Archie Lee Turner, then later to John W. Utsey, Sr.
Both husbands preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by three of her sons:
Burnis Turner, Gregory Turner, and
John W. Utsey, Jr. one daughter: Ruthie Mae Utsey, her brother, Clinton Todd, Sr., and a sister, Verla Todd Leaks.
She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons: SGT. Richard (Laverne) Turner, of Camden, AR, Freddie (Doris) Turner of Flint, MI, Larry (Florida) Turner of Staton, Tennessee, SFC Michael (Betty) Turner of Stephens, three daughters:
Everlena (Charlie) Neal of Clarksville, TN, Alice (Shelly) Tolbert, of Cleveland, OH, Cynthia (Rance) Adair of Camden, a great host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Esther Todd of San Francisco, CA.
The family would like extend special thanks and gratitude to all nurses that cared for our mother during her time of need, especially Roshawnda Brown.
There will be a public viewing at the Henderson Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday, April 22, from noon until 4 p.m.
Mrs. Utsey will be interred in New Home Cemetery, Stephens, AR, following a private family service, due to the CDC recommendations and constraints for Covid-19.
Please keep the Utsey family in your thoughts and prayers.
