Mom I miss you really really bad. I miss the bad and good times we had together. To the times you would have to tell me 300 times just to clean my room to the times we went to the Mall of America together. I love you mom and so does Hollijewel. Im so sad that you are gone. I tried my best to get you to the hospital. That day was a day that I do not want to remember. It happened so fast. I just wish people would understand the things I did see and the things I had to go threw. I tried to save you mom but you were to worried about getting me to work on time. Thats just like you,,,always concerned about your childrens behalf before your own, and I thank you for that. I thank you for giving me life and I thank you for teaching me the rite way to live life. I know i've done alot of bad things , but I always remember what you would always tell me. (what ever you do do it to perfection) and i always will remember that. I love you momma and good news your gona be a grandma... I know you smiling and laughing. Man oh Man I can hear that laugh rite now.. I will always love you and caint nobody and I mean NOBODY take your place...

Don't stand by my grave and weep
for I'm not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamonds' glint on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain
When you awaken in morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circle flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die

Well I have put this off because I just can't believe it. I met Sarita at Folwell Junior High School, she said what's your name? my name is Sarita it's pronounced Sharita. I told her I was real scared to be there and she said there is nothing to be scared of your my friend now and from that point on everything was okay. I remember sitting in English class and Sarita and Charlie the Super Star Dillon cracking everyone up. Sitting for hours Sarita braiding my hair like Bo Derek we sure had alot of fun. Gretchen Norby

I was very shocked & stunned when I heared that Sarita had passed away. My heart and prayers not only go out to her children and family, but also to my friend and co-coach, coach George. I met Sarita through George and I found her to be a very sweet lady, her presence will be missed. She maybe out of physical sight, but never out of heart & memories.

I really don't know what to say. I lost the funiest Aunt there ever was to be around. If I can turn back the hands of time, I would not have arguered with her as much, but you gotta love your Aunt Sarita. She is already missed, and all I keep seeing is her smiling face, and that laugh just goes on in the back of my mind. I can actually hear her laugh now. (smile). I did not get a chance to grow up with my Aunt as much as the other nieces and nephews, neither do I have many stories to tell about my aunt. However my love for my Aunt Sarita was just as much as my cousins love for our Aunt. I'm sitting here typing this now and I'm full of tears because this just now hit me that my Aunt Sarita is gone. Our birthdays are just two days off, and we do act alike in many ways. I'm really saddened by the fact that I can't be there with the rest of my family to see my Aunt get laid to her final resting place, but my heart is with the family now. I grieve her lost to just in my own way. I hurt to see my mom(Brenda Gundy) yet go through losing another sister. I really don't know how to express my sympathy but mom I do grieve to when I'm alone. To my Grandma and Grandpa I admire you all strength for going through this for the third time. I love you guys. To my cousins Hollie-Jewel and Xzavier be strong for you know your mother will never leave you. I Love You guys. To my Aunt I know that you are well taken care of for you are at home with my other two Aunts. Take care of us as we continue to live our lives, and continue to be our guardian angels for we will need you to be. Auntie our time was short with each other, but know that I will always love you and I already miss you. Rest In Peace Auntie Sarita. Love your oldest niece Nicole Jenese Gundy

Dear Medlock family:

It's me, Stayci. I had only two best friends; Ruby Jones who moved to Texas and Sarita Medlock...At first I was in shock and then I was mad and then I was sad. Now I'm just anxious to see my friend; to touch her one last time and to see you all that I haven't seen in such a long time. I do have some words to say and I'm not sure how I'm going to get through it, but I must. I owe my friend that much. I shall save my words for Saturday.

See you when I get there, my homie.

Love Always, Stayci Bell

To the Medlock family. May God be with you all during this time of great sorrow. What can I say but how much I love each and everyone of you. I am so sorry I can't be there but my heart and prayers are with you all. I can remember how Sarita would help with the planting of her mother's garden in the spring time and I would be right next door helping my grandmother Edward's plant hers year after year. How Sarita would laugh with that big smile and say Kim you got your bucket of water? I would reply saying I sure do and we would lift our buckets of water together as a cheer to the spring planting season. Well I say to you Sarita you got that white robe with a big smile? Knowing you do! I'm sure looks good on you girl. I know your are home with your family. I hope grandpa and aunt Mary Lee are right next door. A beautiful flower you are added to heaven's garden. 5Th avenue won't be the same without you Sarita. May the Lord keep and bless the Medlock family and grant you His peace. Love Always Kimberley Oden

My sister-in-law was so special to me because she was there for me and my family when we needed her. When I first met her 14 years ago, I could tell that her and Quentin had a special bond. He felt it was important that I meet her so that she could give him her approval. Thank God she liked me because life would not have been easy avoiding all his sisters. I respected that and appreciated it. I will miss her banana bread, fried chicken, and the variety of cakes she use to make. She even made peach cobbler almost as good as her mom. I love you Sarita and I will be there for your babies whenever they need me. And George, you are strong and I know with time the pain in your heart will not hurt as much.

Rev. & Mrs. Medlock,

I was sadden to hear the loss of your daughter. I pray that God will keep and watch over your family. Her children are young and will miss her and there is nothing like a mother's love, but I know you know that GOD IS A KEEPER. I have very fond memories of you and your family and know that her children have WONDERFUL Grandparents who possess Godly wisdom and guidance. I often times wonder where would I be if it hadn't been for the wisdom and guidance of my grandmother. I love you and I'm praying for you. God Bless and keep you in his care!

I met Sarita when I was in 9th grade at Central H.S. That year was hard for me having just lost my father and had just moved back to the cities from Brooklyn Park. Sarita was like a big sister to me that year. She took me under her wing and protected and looked out for me. I will never forget her.
Rest in Gods arms my sister.
