Dorothy Medlock, 78 of Highland, IL, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon, IL, surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 28, 1946, in Collinsville, IL, to John and Louise (nee Kuhn) Wolf. On June 5, 2004, she married David Medlock, in Highland, IL.
She moved to Highland, IL, in 1977. She worked at Jakel, Chastain Nursing Home and Devtron.
Dorothy was a wonderful wife, devoted mother and a blessed grandmother. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitching blankets for her family, baking, bird watching, camping and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise Wolf; sister and brother-in-law, Marge (Ray) Tennent; brother, Herbie Wolf.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, David Medlock, Highland, IL; children, Clyde Callahan, Wanda Romano, Sherrie Callahan, David (Gina) Callahan, Michael Callahan, Jason Callahan, Carla (John) Spradling, Becky (John) Maxwell, Phil (Jamie) Medlock; sister-in-law, Edna Wolf; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

A private Celebration of Life will be held on August 2, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL
