Obituary published on Legacy.com by Legacy Funeral Center - Scott Chapel on Mar. 2, 2026.
Saundra Rose Hatfield, 83, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Saundra was born on December 14, 1942, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to William and Dorothy Neuling. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

A woman of deep faith, Saundra loved singing and faithfully attending church at St. Simon and Jude. She treasured her time spent in fellowship, especially the joyful luncheons she shared with friends from Holy Rosary Academy. Saundra found great happiness in tending to her flower gardens, where her love of beauty blossomed in every season. She also enjoyed doing crafts, creating heartfelt keepsakes for those she loved.

Saundra is survived by her children: Gary Hatfield (Sherri Hamburg), Todd Hatfield (Tonya), Tanya Brunner (Mark), and Vickie Love (Pat). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Amanda Puckett, Ashley Hatfield, Hadley Meadows, Misty Knauer, Meaghan Knauer, Chaz Brunner, Shelby Brunner, Cody Sullivan, Lacie Sullivan, and Kylie Sullivan. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Hayla Puckett, Bryson Puckett, Stevie Hatfield, Lael Wells, and Delilah Sullivan, who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her brother, Bill Neuling.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James D. Hatfield; her cherished son, Greg Hatfield; and her parents, William and Dorothy Neuling.

Saundra will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her beautiful singing voice, her nurturing heart, and the love she so freely gave to her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the family she so dearly loved.

A private family burial will take place at Louisville Memorial Gardens West on Thursday, March 5, at 10 AM.
