Savannah Nicole Knowles

Savannah Nicole Knowles, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, left this world on September 4, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories and a profound legacy of love.

Born on October 15, 1987, in Washington, Utah, Savannah was a beacon of light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Savannah was the loving mother of four beautiful children: Ryleigh, Annika, Nevaeh, and Afton. Her children were her world, and her dedication to them knew no bounds. She poured her heart and soul into nurturing them.

Savannah was born the sixth child of eight siblings. She was first raised by her parents, Rick Schopen and Katie Brown, and then continued on to live with her mother Katie after her parents’ divorce.

During her formative years at Pineview High School in Saint George, Utah, it was during this significant chapter of her life that Savannah put a pause on her education in order to embark on the journey of motherhood. Later in life, Savannah would move on to complete her GED in place of her High School diploma as well as some studies in Nursing.  

During this time, Savannah welcomed her first child, Afton Spendlove, into the world, and her life was forever transformed by the love and joy that parenthood brought. Soon after, Savannah and Nathan Spendlove were blessed with the arrival of their daughter, Nevaeh Spendlove.

Savannah's journey eventually led her to a chapter marked by both enduring love and unspoken challenges. She married David Knowles, and together, they embarked on a new adventure as a family. Their love, while often tested, eventually blossomed into the blessed arrival of their two precious daughters, Ryleigh and Annika Knowles.

Savannah's life was undeniably complex, marked by a tapestry of challenges and triumphs. Through life's intricate and often difficult moments, Savannah's unwavering spirit carried her forward, leaving an indelible mark on those who shared in her journey.

One of Savannah's greatest strengths was her infectious sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest of days. She also had a unique talent for bringing her often sporadic family together during holidays, organizing get-togethers and making each gathering a joyous occasion filled with laughter and love.

Savannah's caring nature extended beyond her immediate family. She frequently checked in on her grandmother, offering comfort and companionship until her grandmother's passing. She also adorned the tombstones of her departed loved ones with care and reverence, a testament to her enduring love and respect for those who had gone before her.

Even in the face of life's most difficult challenges, Savannah could find humor and laughter, using it as a source of strength to uplift herself and those around her. Her ability to bring some joy or comedic relief into any situation left a lasting and unforgettable impact on all who knew her.

In this regard, Savannah had a knack for crafting both humorous and lasting nicknames for many of those that she knew and loved. So much so that her young niece Jasmine once chastised and corrected others that her name was in fact 'Jazzydilla', a loving moniker Savannah had given her, rather than her actual name, Jasmine.

Like her beloved grandmother, Fayone, Savannah was undeniably the glue that held her family together in so many ways. Her infectious humor and warm heart were the cornerstone of family gatherings, making holidays and special occasions truly unforgettable.

With her passing, we feel the profound weight of her absence, an emptiness that cannot be easily filled. The difficulty of her loss is immeasurable, leaving a void that serves as a poignant reminder of the pivotal role she played in uniting and supporting her loved ones.

Her memory continues to serve as a beacon, guiding her family through the challenges of life and reminding them of the enduring love that will forever connect them.

Savannah's departure leaves a place in our hearts that can never be filled, but her memory will continue to shine brightly. She leaves behind a family that loves her deeply, including her children, Ryleigh, Annika, Nevaeh, and Afton; her grandson, Legend; her brothers, Ryan, Loren,  Rory, and Jeremiah; her sisters, Chelsea, Meghann, and Zarah; her nieces, Jasmine, Raina, Bella, Mia, Ayana, and Everly; her nephews Branson, Cohen, Gage, and Aiden; her cousins Hannah and Samantha; and her parents, Rick and Katie.

As we remember Savannah Nicole Knowles, let us honor her legacy by cherishing the love, laughter, and togetherness she brought into our lives. In her memory, may we continue to find joy in each other's company and never forget the enduring spirit of a woman who could light up a room with her smile and laughter.

A memorial service to celebrate Savannah's life will be announced at a later date.

Savannah, you will forever be in our hearts, and your love will continue to guide us through life's journey. Rest in eternal peace, dear Savannah Nicole Knowles.
