Scott Michael Bird, age 51, passed away on June 30, 2025, in Cypress, Texas. He was born on April 27, 1974, in Fullerton, California, to Linda and Wayne Bird.
Scott lived with purpose, conviction, and an unwavering sense of responsibility. He was a man who never quit. He kept his commitments, followed through on his word, and faced challenges with strength and confidence. Scott served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mendoza, Argentina, where he shared the gospel in Spanish, a language he later majored in. His testimony of Jesus Christ was reflected in the way he lived: with integrity, consistency, and courage.
In his career, Scott rose to the top of the construction technology sales industry through determination, hard work, and an innate ability to lead. His success wasn't just measured in numbers, but also by his character. He was dependable, respected, and deeply trusted by those who worked with him.
More than anything, Scott was a rock for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Amoreena Bird, and their children: Trenton Bird (spouse Brooklyn), Maclaren Bird (spouse Lily), Cameron Bird (spouse Haden Bliss), and Kayden Bird. He was the proud grandfather of Brea Bird, who affectionately called him "Coach," a name that captured not just what he did, but who he was. He coached with wisdom, led with steadiness, and gave love with his whole heart. He also leaves behind his parents, Linda and Wayne Bird; grandfather Nathan Haney; and brothers Brandon, Ryan, and Chris Bird.
Scott loved the outdoors and found peace in fishing. Whether alone on the water or teaching his kids to cast a line, those were the moments that filled his soul. He was both a fisher of fish and a fisher of men, heeding Jesus Christ's call to lift others, share truth, and live with purpose.
Scott's legacy is one of strength, perseverance, faith, and fierce devotion to the people he loved. He will be remembered as a protector, a leader, a teacher, and a man who finished what he started.
We invite all to join us for a viewing and funeral service on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. The viewing will be held from 9–11 AM and the funeral service will be from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM.
