Scott Andrew Blake, born on October 24, 1963, in North Tarrytown, NY, passed away on October 13, 2024, in Selbyville, DE. He was a beloved husband to Angela Blake and a cherished brother to his three sisters, Mary Lou, Margaret, and Jane. He was also a cat "daddy", and his "boys", particularly Moe and his girl Pippa, appreciated his caring and affectionate nature.
Scott was formerly employed in the field of IT, where his expertise, intelligence, and leadership were recognized. Beyond his professional achievements, he was passionate about history, immersing himself in the past and sharing that enthusiasm with others through historical reenacting and interpreting. Known for his keen wit and humor, Scott loved to make people laugh, and jokes or funny comments were never in short supply. He didn't let anyone forget (particularly his wife) that he only attained "Superior" and not "Very Superior" I.Q. status on the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale because he was not able to state exactly what Marie Curie was famous for (he responded that she "died of radiation poisoning" and ended up with a 129 I.Q. instead of 130). Scott enjoyed computer gaming, music, hanging out with friends, nature, cruises, and Disney World.
An active member of the volunteer community, Scott was proud to serve as a Lieutenant in the NY Guard, contributing to local initiatives and showing his commitment to service. His dedication and loyalty gave him a true sense of pride. His legacy of laughter and love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
