Scott Bruce, age 51 of Addison, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at his home.
Born on September 28, 1972 in Sayre, PA, he was the son of Carol (McNeal) Anderson. Scott was a graduate of Troy Area High School, class of 1991. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, in 1996, Scott relocated to Addison, NY to be with the love of his life, Lisa. He married Lisa Dimick on July 16, 2005 in Addison, NY. Scott worked as a Team Leader employed by BelGioioso Cheese, Inc. out of Campbell, NY for 16 years.
Scott will be remembered as an old soul. He loved old country music, stock car racing and demolition derbies. His greatest joy was his family. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye and nothing meant more than being surrounded by those he loved. Scott had an amazing ability of remembering everything. He was a walking encyclopedia to his family and friends, and his endless knowledge will be greatly missed.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Bruce of Addison, NY; daughter, Sam (Brian Calkins) Bottum of Addison, NY; grandchildren: Luke and Leyna Bottum; mother, Carol Anderson of Troy, PA; brother, Shawn Bruce; sister, Lori (John) Davis, Dori Bruce; mother-in-law, Princelia Dimick; sister-in-law, Carolyn (James) Jackson; brother-in-law, Butch (Mary) Dimick; special great nephew, Alex Jackson for his love and dedication to Scott; and several other nieces. nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Scott was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Phyllis McNeal; sister-in-law, Linda Bruce; nephew, Beau Parker; father-in-law, Raymond Dimick; and sister and brother-in-law, Lucretia and Allen Owlett.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Flint Funeral Home, 10 Wall St., Addison, NY. A memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 4:00 pm. Burial will take place in the family plot in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Addison at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Scott's name may be sent to: Addison Volunteer Fire Department, 1 Tuscarora St., Addison, NY.
