Scott Preston Coffman, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother has passed away at the age of 62 at his home in Lubbock on February 8, 2024. A lifelong resident of Lubbock, Scott was born on December 19, 1961, to the late Jack Morris and Carole Katherine (Griffis) Coffman. Scott graduated from Lubbock High School and married the love of his life Lisa Freeman on June 25, 1988, in Lubbock.
Scott was a hardworking and dedicated man who found immense success as the owner of Carpet Barn.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Scott cherished his family above all else. He leaves behind his loving wife, Lisa, who stood by his side throughout their journey together. Together, they created a beautiful family that Scott held dear to his heart.
Scott was a proud father to his daughter, Tia (Jereme) Dupont, who brought immense joy to his life. His greatest joy came from being a doting grandfather to his grandchildren, Brynlee, Blaine, and Blair Dupont. He loved spending time with them, indulging in their laughter and creating cherished memories that will forever be treasured.
As a brother to Weldon (Rhonda) Coffman and Jackie (Gary) Myers, Scott held a special bond with his siblings. Other surviving family is his stepmother, Myrna Coffman and stepsister, Shannon Dickey,
Scott Preston Coffman will forever be remembered for his dedication to his family, his commitment to his business, and the love he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
