Scott E Colbert

Mr. Scott Colbert,60, of Winfield, MO, passed away on June 8, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 11, 1962 in Troy, MO to Cecil and Wanda (Shaw) Colbert. Scott graduated from Clopton High School and was involved in band; playing the french horn, trumpet and the drums. He and Lisa (Broyles) met when his sister introduced them. It was love at first sight and they were married on October 25, 1986 at the Troy Presbyterian Church. The family was blessed with three children; Vincent, Justin and Kayla. Scott and Lisa raised their family in Troy and later moved to Winfield and bought some property. Scott was a hunter, fisherman and mechanic. He loved most kind of music, could sing Disney songs and was an all around fun guy! Scott had a sense of humor and was a hard worker. His family described him as,"stubborn, hard worker, honorable family man, who was loving and caring. Most of all he was a fighter, who handled each health challenge and kept on going. He will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Lisa Colbert of Winfield, children; Vincent (Brittany) Dyer of St. Louis, MO, Justin Colbert of Winfield, MO and Kayla Colbert of Winfield, MO, siblings, Steve (Dorothy) Colbert of Vandalia, MO, Beverly (Bob) Devoto of Silex, MO, Brenda (John) Zerrer of Elsberry, MO, Becky (Mark) Wilson of Edgar Springs, MO, Shelby (Sarah) Colbertt of Silex, MO, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his brother, Stewart Colbert and his parents.
Memorials- In lieu of flowers checks may be made to Lisa Colbert c/o the funeral home.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory 1304 Boone Street Troy, MO 63379
Memorial Service- will also be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 1 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory 1304 Boone Street Troy, MO 63379 Mr. Rick Hente and Mr. Billy Russell to officiate.
