Mr. Scott Mitchell Egbert
Aiken, SC— A celebration of life service will be held for Mr. Scott Mitchel Egbert at 1:00 pm August 3, 2024, at New Spring Church with Pastor Matt Steelman officiating. Mr. Scott Mitchel Egbert, age 55, entered into rest at his home on July 22, 2024. He was the son to the late Mr. Norman Egbert and the late Mrs. Myrtie Bell; and he was the loving husband to his wife Mrs. Ieshea Lynn Egbert. Scott made Aiken, SC his home for the past 43 years, and was a member of New Spring Church of Aiken. He worked for the city of Aiken for the past 29 years as a lab coordinator for the water treatment plant. Scott loved jeeps, and he enjoyed watching sports, especially the Mizzou Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, and the St. Louis Blues. Some of Scott’s hobbies included: hunting, building stuff, cooking, but most importantly he loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed going on family trips to the mountains in Helen, GA, and going to Oak Island. Scott will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Additional survivors include: five sons, Ian (Dani) Egbert, Aiken, Joshua (Leondra) Hagberg, Aiken, Samuel (Tyler) Hagberg, Lexington, Daniel Hagberg, Aiken, and Jacob Hagberg; four daughters, Tosha (Gary) McAlister, Aiken, Isabela Egbert, Windsor, Meghan (Ethan) Egbert, Augusta, and Alivia-Grace Egbert, Aiken; one brother, Deryl “Butch” (Angela) Egbert, Leesville; one sister, Cheryl (Jorge) Brooks, Aiken; seven grandchildren, Cayden, Hayden “Hay Stacks”, Arron, Oliver, Cam “Camo”, Violet “Vi”, and Jude; his honorary grandchildren, Mason “Mason Jar”, Neveah, Tabra, Zenobia “Z”, and Aurora “A”; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. A visitation with the family will take place after the service.
