Scott Farrar

Doyle Scott Farrar, age 56, of Malta, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, after a lengthy illness. Scott was born November 9, 1967, in Texarkana, Texas and a 1986 graduate of New Boston High School. He was a Christian, a Millwright at Red River Army Depot, served in Afghanistan for three tours while with Red River, and was a diehard Texas Rangers fan. He loved cat fishing on Red River and is preceded in death by his father, Myron Farrar.
Scott leaves behind his adoring wife, Tonya Farrar of DeKalb, Texas, son and daughter in law, Bobby and Kelsey Ray of Genoa, Arkansas, loving mother and step father, Pam and Jim Becton of Houston, Texas, his only grandchild, Spencer Ray of Genoa, Arkansas and a number of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 30, 2024, in the Bates Rolf Chapel, New Boston. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. before services. Local cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston.
