Scott A. Findlay, age 47 of Lisle, IL, formerly of Wilmington, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Edwards Hospital in Naperville.
He was born in Joliet, IL on June 1, 1976 to Richard and Nancy (nee Frizzell) Findlay. He grew up in the Wilmington area, graduating with Wilmington High School's class of 1994. Scott married Melissa Buell on October 14, 2016. He was employed as a warehouse manager for Wesco Electric. Scott was an avid fan of football with his favorite teams being the Michigan Wolverines and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. Scott was a natural jokester who liked to lighten up any room he was in.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Melissa Findlay; his mother, Nancy Findlay; his brother, Adam (fiancée Lindsey) Findlay; his aunts, Judi Howell and Mary Norris; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donna and Don Buell; his sister-in-law, Chris (Wayne) Fritts; his brother-in-law, Brian Buell; and his nieces and nephews, Samantha, Kevin, Lindsay and Jake Fritts and Devin, Kyal, Shyanna and Denaya.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Findlay and his grandparents.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Ferrari Funeral Services, 1044 Ferrari Drive, Coal City, IL 60416. Pastor Caleb Counterman will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service.
