Scott A. Guiler

SALEM – Scott A. Guiler, 68, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, with his loving wife by his side.
Scott was born on February 25, 1957, in Salem, Ohio, to the late John and Elena (Dicu) Guiler. He graduated from Salem High School in 1975 and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in engineering from Youngstown State University. A brilliant and driven leader, Scott owned and operated the Baldor Cleveland office for decades, building it into a respected and successful operation. He was also a proud member of Mensa, a testament to his sharp mind and remarkable intelligence.
On July 26, 1986, Scott married the love of his life, Diane Muchantif. Throughout their 39 years of marriage, Scott and Diane created a beautiful life together-raising a family, traveling the world, and collecting countless memories that will forever be cherished by Diane. Their adventures took them across the United States and abroad, with favorite destinations including Aruba, Barbados, Las Vegas, Bermuda, and the Bahamas.
Scott was a devoted fan of all things rock and roll. He loved classic bands such as Led Zeppelin, KISS, and AC/DC, and he never missed an opportunity to turn up the volume. Those who knew Scott will always remember his legendary homemade pizzas, his passion for NMCA drag racing, his impressive collection of antique cars, and above all, his unwavering love and pride for his family.
Scott also had a personality that made him truly unforgettable. He lit up every room with his warm, unmistakable smile, carried a playful ornery streak that kept everyone laughing, and had a calm, steady presence that made others instantly feel at ease. Whether he was joking around, offering quiet reassurance, or simply sitting nearby, Scott had a way of making people feel loved, safe, and seen.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elena Guiler, and his mother-in-law, Amira Muchantif. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Diane; his two sons, Scott (Sarah) Guiler and John Guiler; and his two grandchildren, Scotty and Ellie, who will continue to honor and appreciate his life, love, and legacy.
A private service will be held at Stark Memorial. A celebration of Scott's life will follow at a later date, where family and friends will gather to remember and honor the extraordinary man he was.
