Scott Bennett Knight, age 63, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. No services are planned at this time, and cremation has taken place in accordance with his wishes. Scott was born on May 22, 1962, in Scottsbluff, to Leonard and Nancy (Armentrout) Knight. He received his education at Scottsbluff Public Schools and began a career at Western Sugar after graduation. Scott then transitioned to working at Knight Pest Control, the family business, until it was sold by his dad. He later worked at several quick lube shops until health issues led to his disability.
Scott married Toni Ockinga on March 8, 1991. They welcomed a son, Trace, in 2010.
Scott enjoyed playing drums and guitar and performed in different local bands over the years. He also liked listening to music, playing video games, and cooking.
Survivors include his wife, Toni Knight of Scottsbluff; son, Trace Knight of Scottsbluff; brothers, Bruce (Jackie) Knight of Gilmer, TX, Doug (Deb) Knight of Meeker, CO, Leonard Knight of Phoenix, AZ, and Michael Knight of Las Vegas, NV; brother-in-law, Rick Schaneman of Scottsbluff; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Nancy; and sister, Terri Schaneman.
