Scott A. Lacharite, age 42, passed away far too soon on January 19, 2026, leaving behind a family and community who loved him deeply.
Scott was a devoted father to his twin 7-year-old daughters, Lilly and Daisy and his 15-month-old son, Blaze, who were the center of his world. He was also a loving fiancé, a son, a brother, and a loyal friend to many, forming bonds that will be cherished forever.
Born in Brunswick, Maine, Scott spent most of his life in Florida, where he built a home and a life filled with passion and heart. He had a deep love for animals and never hesitated to bring home a stray in need, showing his kindness through action. Scott was a proud fan of the Miami Dolphins and Florida Gators, and his appreciation for Ford trucks was well known to those who knew him best.
Scott is survived by his fiancé, Bonnie Lucas and son, Blaze Alan, his twins, Lilly and Daisy, his father, Jean Lacharite, sisters Michelle (Jamie) Sheppard, Suzanne (Steven) Strayhorn and Paula (Jimmy) McElroy and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended and "bonus" family members. He is preceded in death by his mother, Arnell "Nell" Lacharite who he missed immensely.
A Celebration of Life honoring Scott will be held on February 22, 2026, from 1:00-3:00 PM, at the Lake Rousseau RV Resort Community Center, located at 10811 N. Coveview Terrace, Crystal River, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to so many.
Scott's presence, generosity, and love will be deeply missed. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made on those around him will live on through his children, his family, and the many friends who carry his memory forward.
