Scott William Loder

Scott William Loder, born on August 6, 1957, in San Diego, CA, bid farewell to this world on January 1, 2024, in King, NC. He lived a life that was as vibrant as his spirit, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and cherished memories. Scott was 66 years old at the time of his passing.
Throughout his professional journey, Scott dedicated many years to Dacey Midstate Dewatering, where he made a lasting impact with his expertise and dedication. Beyond his work, Scott had a zest for life that knew no bounds. He found solace in the pages of books, sought adventure through his travels, and treasured moments spent with loved ones. If there was one thing Scott truly relished, it was boat racing, where he felt most alive.
Scott's departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who held him dear. He is now reunited with his late wife, Vicki Lynn Loder, in eternal peace; and his step father, Wayne Mitchell. His parents, Patricia Mitchell and Clinton Loder, will forever hold his memory close. Scott also leaves behind his siblings: Diane Roby, Derald Loder, Kirk Loder and his wife Tricia, Mitchell Loder and his wife Shawn, Melody Brooks and her husband Keith, Jackie Cavanaugh and her husband Billy. Additionally, he will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as stepdaughters Vanessa O'Berry and Angie Wren.
To honor Scott's life, a memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be directed to Mountain Valley Hospice in Dobson, NC.
Scott William Loder will forever be remembered for his quick wit, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for those closest to him. May his adventurous spirit inspire us all to embrace life with open hearts and a touch of daring.
