Richmond "Scott" Logan, 75, of Yukon, OK, peacefully passed away at his home on March 21, 2025. Born November 22, 1949, in Honolulu, HI, he was a devoted husband and best friend to Linda Kay (Shimer) Logan and a loving father to Richmond Scott Logan II, Jason Logan, and Lee Logan.
Scott's father proudly served in the military, so the Logan family moved many times before settling in Weatherford, OK, when he was eight. Scott went on to play football, basketball, and track for Weatherford High School, where he graduated in 1968. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in business. He met his wife of 53 years, Linda, while at Southwestern.
Scott was a hardworking man dedicated to his family. He was an independent concrete contractor and a serial entrepreneur. However, his boys will tell you he dreamed of panning for gold in the hills of Colorado.
Though he may not have liked being the center of attention, Scott deserves to have his long years of fatherly and grandfatherly love honored. His three boys, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren were the apple of his eye. Scott was a man of few words, but his words always carried so much weight. He didn't have to say anything because the way he lived showed everything you needed to know. His kind heart, integrity, and generosity left a lasting impression on anyone who knew him.
Scott was a Corvette enthusiast who enjoyed racing cars and driving fast. His hobbies also included spending time with his friends, watching his kids and grandkids play sports, and spending time in his swimming pool with his wife and his dog, Sassy.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Richmond and his wife Elizabeth, Jason and his wife Kristy, and Lee and his wife Jennafer; his grandchildren, Whitney Weathers and her husband Dawson, Kanton and his wife Addyson, Addison, Scotty, Amia, and Luke; and great-grandchildren, Neelie, Tatum, and Beau. He is also survived by many friends and extended family members who will greatly miss him, including his brothers, Jim Logan and Gary Logan and his wife Anita, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Yanda & Son Funeral Home in Yukon, OK.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tenaciously Teal (a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting cancer survivors and their families), Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or Wounded Warrior Project.
Our family finds comfort in knowing Scott's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the memories we will cherish forever.
