Scott Alistair MacIntosh, born October 2nd 1993, passed peacefully at home June 6th, 2025, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife Samantha "Sam" MacIntosh, his mother Christine "Chrissy" Mitchell, step-father Karl "Mitch" Mitchell, sister Alayna "Bunny" MacIntosh, and is predeceased by his father, Douglas MacIntosh.
Scott was a happy, intelligent and determined child, keeping his parents on their toes, and made many cherished memories along the way. From family vacations at Pass A Grille beach, and kayaking with his father, to watching his little sister grow. He was proud to watch her achieve her own career accomplishments, and see his mother find love again in his step-father, as years passed.
Scott took great pride in his education at University of Tampa, and his time spent in the ROTC program. His tireless hard work and dedication led him to join the United States Air Force as an officer, and entering into the MQ-9 Drone program. He furthered his goals to include certification to fly, becoming an instructor pilot, and then as an instructor to other instructor pilots. His wife, family and colleagues saw Scott awarded numerous awards, patches and coins to honor his prestigious and respected career accomplishments. Beyond his own goals for success, he was equally invested in seeing those around him succeed and reach their own goals.
Scott had many hobbies including reading, video games, and watching anime with his wife Samantha. His favorite author was Brandon Sanderson, and Scott prided himself on having each book he had written. He read over 100 books in 2024 and was also proud of his personal computer he built on his own, by teaching himself with YouTube videos. Scott also loved to spend time with his beloved cat, Legume "Beanie" MacIntosh. Scott was Legume's personal photographer for every holiday. Scott was a kind and loving man to all.
Please enjoy this quote by one of Scott's favorite authors:
"If I should die," Dalinar said, "then I would do so having lived my life right. Its not the destination that matters, but how one arrives there," - Dalinar Kholin from Brandon Sanderson's The Way Of Kings.
Services to be held for close friends and family at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5750 49th St. N, St. Petersburg, FL, June 26, 2025 @ 10-11:30, visitation, 11:30 service.
