Scott Anthony Matteson, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was born on March 13, 1954, in St Charles, Missouri. His journey through life and 3 year battle with a rare aggressive cancer came to a close on September 1, 2025, in St Louis, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication.
For over 40 years, Scott proudly served as a concrete finisher in the Cement Mason Union, Local 527. His work was not just a job; it was a passion that he pursued with commitment and skill. Those who had the pleasure of working alongside him will remember not only his craftsmanship but also the pursuit of perfection.
Scott's greatest joy came from his family. He is survived by his wife, Caron Matteson. Scott's loving daughters, Connie (Tejinder) Brar, Lisa Matteson, and Cherie (John) Boren, carry forward his spirit, embodying the values he instilled within them. He took immense pride in being a grandfather to his precious grandchildren, Sophia, Ava, Lucy, Jackson, and Arjan, each of whom brought him endless happiness and delight.
In addition to his immediate family, Scott welcomed into his life his wives' children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Each of these relationships enriched his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
