Scott Dee McMillen, age 66, of Alton, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 in Saint Peters, Missouri from a very aggressive cancer. He passed with his loving wife of 32 years by his side. He was born in Anchorage, Alaska on December 1, 1956 to Walter and Judith McMillen (nee Sweet).
Scott was very passionate about cooking and was the chef of the family. He loved going to the ocean and collecting sea shells and beachcombing, went to as many NASCAR races as he could and loved music.
He was employed by Craftsmen's Industries for almost 20 years building marketing displays for companies such as NASCAR, Anheuser Busch Inc., Lego and many more. Prior to that he was employed by C&S Specialties for 20 years as a master of rebuilding carburetors for race cars and enjoyed every minute of it.
He never met a stranger and always made an attempt to approach, especially older adults, to say "Good Morning" or "Have a Nice Day" and they always walked away with a smile on their face. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Scott is survived by his Wife, Judy McMillen; Father, Walter McMillen; Daughter, Tonya McMillen; Son, Kurt Burcham; Grandchild, Allen (Rachel) Burcham; Two Sisters, Melissa Berry, Marti (Richard) VanRoy; Three Sister-In-Laws, Joan (Joe) Kozma, Lisa (Michael) Picker, Tonja (Michael) McColloch; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Judith McMillen.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 5:00 until 5:30 pm with a Funeral Service immediately following at St. Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376.
