Scott Charles Reeves
June 7, 1944 ~ February 12, 2024
Scott Charles Reeves died peacefully on February 12, 2024, in West Vally City, Utah.
Scott was born in Brigham City, Utah to Glen William Reeves and Rachel Davis.
He attended Box Elder High School in Brigham City, Utah, and Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
Scott was a proud disciple of Jesus Christ and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His passion for the teachings of Christ was evident in his numerous religious involvements which included serving as a Missionary to France, Bishopric, and Teacher.
Scott married the love of his life, Sheila Jensen, on December 9, 1966, in the Logan Temple and they have shared their lives together ever since. Their relationship was the foundation for his life and of primary importance to him.
He served from 1967-1971 at Francis E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming as an X-Ray Technician.
In 1973, Scott & Sheila moved to West Valley City, Utah where they lived and raised their family for 51 years. He was the much-loved father of six children: Casey (Colleen), Curtis (Janet), Cynthia (Jay), Kevin (Jamie), Kari (Zach) and Ashley. He found so much love and joy in his 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. They all loved him even more.
Professionally, Scott was a Radiologist/CT Scan Technician at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City for 28 years.
Scott was talented musically and loved singing and playing both the piano and the organ. He loved playing for many years during church services.
Scott's love for life extended to his hobbies which included golfing, classic TV (MASH, Golden Girls, Andy Griffith & The Three Stooges), horseshoes, shooting a basketball, writing poems and listening to classic country music. He loved watching sports and cheering on BYU and yes....the Dallas Cowboys.
He has left his family a legacy of wisdom, humor, a strong work ethic, and love. Scott had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and will be remembered for his kind and gentle way with people. To know him, was to LOVE him.
He is survived by his wife and children, sister Portia and brother Stewart. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Darwin and his sister Marilyn.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Legacy House for their kindness in caring for Scott.
We love you, Dad. You will be dearly missed.
