Scott B. Schrecengost, age 40, of New Brighton, PA, (Beaver County) formerly of Marienville, PA, died on Friday, February 20, 2026 in Tionesta, PA. He was born August 19, 1985 in Clarion, PA, beloved son of Chris A. and Tammy Sue (Francis) Schrecengost who survive and reside in Marienville.

Scott was employed by Nalco, a water treatment chemical producing company in Ellwood City, PA where he held various positions. He graduated from Riverside High School of Ellwood City in 2004. Scott loved being with his son Braeden and had a life-long love of the outdoors including hiking, hunting and fishing with family and friends.

In addition to his parents Chris and Tammy, Scott is survived by the joy of his life, his son Braeden R Schrecengost, also of New Brighton. Along with Braeden is his mother, Christina Diamond, also of New Brighton. Scott has two sisters, Amber L. Tonya and her husband Justin of Poland, Ohio; Shannon N. Schlosser and her husband Michael of Beaver Falls, PA. One uncle and his god-parents, Michael H. Schrecengost and his wife Mary of Marienville. Two aunts, Michele Schrecengost-Kibbey and her husband Korkey of Bethel Park, PA; Kathy K. Francis of Lexington, South Carolina. Four nephews, Private First Class Jackson Tonya, Jonathan Tonya, Ashton Schlosser, and Bryce Schlosser. A niece, Mikayla Lutsch and her husband Ryan. Also are Scott's in-laws, Robert and Janet Diamond of Industry, PA. Cousins, Andrea Cussins and her husband Dan; Holly Chipman and her husband Alec; Melinda White and her husband Michael; Todd Francis and his wife Pam; Matt Francis and his wife Megan; Emma Cussins; Luke Cussins and his fiancé Molly Lovelace; Megan and Madison White; and Sylvia Francis.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald W. and Shirley A. Schrecengost. His maternal grandparents, James E. and Gail L. Francis. One uncle, Gary S. Francis, and one aunt, Janice M. Houser, and his beloved dog Caesar.

There will be no public visitation, all services will be private. Burial will be at Roses Cemetery, Marienville. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta. Messages of sympathy may be left at www.wimerfuneralhome.com or find us on Facebook.
