Marvin Mayle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Devlin Funeral Home - Cranberry Township on Dec. 16, 2025.
Marvin Dale Mayle, 81, of Cranberry Township, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
Born August 23, 1944, in Philippi, West Virginia to the late Clifford and Thelma (Norris) Mayle. After his mother's passing, he was raised by his late uncle Charles and his wife Nina Norris. He moved to Pennsylvania and graduated from Riverside High School in 1963 while living with his sister Elizabeth ("Junior") Newman.
He leaves behind his loving wife Cynthia (Roberts) Mayle of 27 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife Carol Ann (Blinn) Mayle of 29 years.
He was an amazing husband and the best father, Pap Pap, and the pillar of our family. He worked at Westinghouse/Cutler-Hammer Eaton Corporation for 42 years. Marvin was a dedicated servant of the Lord. He pastored the Church of the Good Shepherd, was an assistant pastor at Word Alive for many years, and most recently was a small group leader at Victory Family Church in Cranberry Township. He was known as the "Preaching-Machine" when he served as a missionary in Kenya, Africa. He also did missionary work in Guatemala. Marvin was an avid fisherman and loved playing games with his family, especially Dominoes.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia (Roberts) Mayle of Cranberry Township, children Brian (Samantha) Mayle, of Ellwood City, Traci (Bradley) Davis, of Rochester, Amy (Jonathan) Bond, of North Sewickley Township, Jessica Zatezalo of Patterson Township, and Amanda (Timothy) McKenzie of Canton, Ohio, and 11 grandchildren who lovingly called him Pap Pap: Jacob, Carolyn, Susan, Joshua (Destiny), Nicole, Kortnee, Bethany, AJ, Caleb, Lillianna, Jonathan; three great-grandchildren Kinsley, Jaxson, and Asher, with whom he shared a special bond; and 2 grand doggies, Lily Joy and Odie. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Edith Roberts, sisters-in-law Mickey Mayle and Charlotte (Blinn) Price, cousin Sonya Norris, and many nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Thelma (Norris) Mayle, wife Carol A. (Blinn) Mayle, Uncle Charles Norris, Aunt Nina Norris, siblings Elizabeth "Liz" Newman ("Junior"), Robert "Bob" (Ernestine) Mayle, Kenneth "Chuck" (Loutricia) Mayle, Dannie Mayle, father-in-law Thomas Roberts, and nephews Jerry and Kelly Newman.
Marvin touched many lives, especially through his ministry to others and his service to the Lord. He wanted all people to know the Lord and would tell anyone he could, " you must be BORNED again" (John 3: 3) not wanting anyone to be lost. As it says in Romans 10:9, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 17th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry 2678 Rochester Road Cranberry Twp. 16066 where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 18th, 10:30 AM. Marvin was a kind and caring person. He always made me smile. He was there for me when Mom died and again when Dad died. He gave me support and comfort. When I needed it the most. He was like my big brother. It will be hard to live without him. I will miss him very much. May God bless his family and give them peace and comfort. Love always, Cousin Sonia.
