Scott Anthony Schwabe, age 47, of Cottrellville Township passed away on February 26, 2024, after a valiant battle with lymphoma. Born on May 30, 1976, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the cherished son of the late Gary and Linda (Uhl) Schwabe. Scott's life was a testament to his strength and his ability to bring joy to those around him.
Scott's life was one of dedication and service, as evidenced by his retirement from the St. Clair Shores Fire Department. His commitment to helping others was unwavering, and he carried that same spirit into his endeavors as a farmer and entrepreneur.
On August 24, 2002, Scott married his loving wife, Shannon, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams.
His family was his pride and joy, and he is survived by his devoted wife, Shannon Schwabe; his sister, Kim (Tim) Bruce of Lake Orion; sisters and brothers-in-law, Melissa (Shawn) Zimmerman of Ocala, Shane (Priscilla) Trempler of Marysville, Dawn (Brandon) Burns of Westland; his father-in-law, Jim Trempler of Algonac; and his mother-in-law, Cherie (Randy) Yamin of Ocala.
Scott's life was enriched by the love of his nieces and nephews, Lauren, Evan, and Abbey Bruce; Courtney (Fiancé Josh Ayestas), Logan, Olivia, and Sydney Zimmerman; Conner Fowler; Henley, Paxton, Collins, and Bryntley Trempler; and Addie and Avery Burns. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment he spent with them.
A man of the outdoors, Scott found relaxation and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed time spent up north at deer camp. He enjoyed golf adventures and vacations with his wife. His passions extended to splitting wood and crafting beer using hops from his own farm.
As we bid farewell to Scott Anthony Schwabe, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest. He was a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us of the power of kindness, the strength of character, and the joy of laughter. Scott's journey on earth has ended, but his spirit will forever remain a part of the lives he touched.
We will gather to celebrate his life on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial-Bower Rose Funeral Home, 222 N. Main Street, Marine City, MI 48039. A sharing of memories will begin at 7:00 p.m. Reverend Dr. G. Patrick Thompson will officiate.
