Scott William Snyder, 49, of Newcomerstown, Ohio, passed away at his home on August 19, 2025 of an apparent heart attack. Born on June 23, 1976 in Dover, Ohio, Scott was the son of Ernest William (Lisa) Snyder of New Philadelphia and Sally Ann (Steve) Stevenson of New Philadelphia.

Scott enjoyed spending time in nature, where he loved to hunt and fish. In his youth, he could be found on the baseball field, where he loved being part of the team and working on his skills and talents both in the field and behind the plate. A lifelong Tuscarawas County resident, Scott grew up in the Twin City area where he was a graduate of Claymont High School. He was an avid Ohio State University fan who enjoyed cheering on the Buckeyes, was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and most of all, was a passionately proud American.

In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by his longtime companion, Kelly Farkas; sister, Vanessa "Banessa" (Donnie) Fawcett; stepbrothers, Scott Stevenson and Chris Krempel; stepsister, Kimi (Matt) Bucchianeri; nieces and nephews, Tate, Dane, and Ava Fawcett, Jonathan Stevenson, Emily Engel, and Austin Bucchianeri.

According to his wishes, Scott will be cremated without a public visitation or viewing. The family asks that donations honoring Scott's memory be made to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 1432 Tall Timber Rd. N.E., New Philadelphia, OH 44663, in lieu of flowers.
