Publish in a newspaper

Scott D. Sparapani, 64, died Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at CoxHealth Medical Center, Springfield, Missouri, with his daughter by his side.
Scott was born November 13, 1960, in Kingsford MI, son of the late Franklin and Janis (Remondini). He graduated from Niagara High School in 1979 and from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh in 1983. While in college, he participated in the ROTC program and advanced directly into the Army as an officer, working much of his career as a captain in military intelligence.
Scott enjoyed his years in the Army while stationed in Japan, Philippines and Korea. While in Korea, he married his wife, Hyang Chun Kim, on August 5, 1987. Together they raised 3 children after moving back to the USA.
Scott was a hard worker. After leaving the Army, he managed several restaurants, including Sonic, KFC and Golden Corral. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting coins, forging knives and painting.
Scott's greatest joy was his children. He also had deep faith in God and shared time in daily prayers with his family. He loved to tell stories and reminisce, especially of times spent with family and friends from "up north." Although his trips back home were few, he always found time to visit as many people as possible, including the graves of those who had passed before him.
Scott is survived by his wife Hyang Chun Kim (June) and his children Grace, William, John, Amber and Brent. He is further survived by his brother Brian (Patti), sisters Kelly and Lynn (Bruce) Schoenleber, aunts Gina Sparapani, Joyce Kubat and Iris Remondini, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Scott is preceded in death by his nephew Jeremy and his uncles Art Sparapani, David Remondini and Gene Kubat.
Scott's family would like to extend a special thanks to his friend, Bailey, for her love and friendship to Scott. Knowing she was there to help with his care and travel to appointments was a comfort to his family.
Visitation will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Niagara on Saturday, October 18 from 9 to 11 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 am. Rite of Christian Burial to follow in the Veterans section of the Niagara cemetery.
