Scott S. Spaulding, 69, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Yalesville, Connecticut on April 23, 2025. Scott’s family is deeply saddened by his sudden passing.

Scott was well known for his special skills as a painter, a trade he learned from his father, and what he did for most of his life. He was a meticulous, highly sought-after professional.

Scott always loved sports and in his younger days he played lots of baseball and spent a lot of time on the golf course. Another one of his favorite pastimes was seeing live shows, especially country music artists.

Family was important to Scott, and he never forgot a birthday. He had a big heart and a generous spirit. Those who knew Scott will remember his quick witty comments and his sarcastic style of humor. He had opinions about everything.

Scott was born in Manchester, NH and later moved to Connecticut when he was in high school. He was the son of the late Bernard A. Spaulding and the late Lorraine C. Norton. He is survived by his son, Timothy Nielsen and daughter, Ashley Lesco and her husband Tyler and grandsons, Layne Nielsen and Brycen Lesco and was excited for his expectant grandson Lesco. He is also survived by sister, Deborah McCormack and her husband William, brother, Steve Spaulding and his wife Kathy, brother, Michael Spaulding and his wife Terry and many nieces and nephews. Scott was predeceased by an infant daughter, Shelby Spaulding.
