Scott Gary Steele

Scott Gary Steele, a man of wisdom, kindness, and love, passed away peacefully at his home in Perry, Michigan on October 24, 2023. Born on May 2, 1960, in Downey, California, he was the son of the late Donald and Sondra Lee (Swanson) Steele.
Scott was a proud graduate of high school and furthered his education with a plumbing apprenticeship. His dedication to his craft was evident in his 30-year membership with the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union. Scott was a master of his trade and had a reputation for being able to fix anything.
Outside of work, Scott had a deep love for the outdoors. He spent countless hours working in his yard, and his daily interactions with the neighborhood squirrels will be fondly remembered. He was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life and found joy in the smallest of tasks.
Scott is survived by Kerry (Michalek) Steele his loving wife, his children Terrance Steele, Nash (Emily) Steele, Lindsay Nostrant, Sasha Michalek, Jorden Beckwith, and Kenneth (Cheyenne Cousins) Jensen. He was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren, his mother in-in-law, Sandy Michalek, and a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his step-daughter Cassandra Shaft, his mother Sondra Rodie, and his father-in-law Robert Michalek.
Scott's legacy of love, wisdom, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His passing leaves a void that will be felt by many, but his memory will continue to inspire and guide us. We take comfort in knowing that Scott's spirit will forever be a part of the beautiful outdoors he so loved.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated by Monsignor George C. Michalek on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 509 Main St. Morrice. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 5:00pm-7:00pm with the Rosary being prayed at 6:30.
