Scottie Lee Adams, 50, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at his home. Born in Houston, MS on November 11, 1973, he was a son to Roger Adams and Jackie Brooks Adams. He married the former Tracey Dabbs and he had worked in the furniture industry. He was an accomplished poet having his works published in the Oxford American magazine. In addition, he received an award for his works in Washington, DC. His hobbies included reading, music, and spoiling his grandchildren. 

A memorial gathering will be on Saturday, July 6, 2024 in the fellowship building at Christian Chapel Church of Christ.  

 In addition to his wife, Tracey Adams of Amory, he is survived by his father, Roger Adams (Brenda) of Houston; mother, Jackie Brooks Adams of Nettleton; two sons, Michael Adams (Abbie Smith) of Ocean Springs and Cameron Adams (Amory); daughter, Summer Rayne Adams (Ron Maier) of Mooreville; brothers, Shane Adams and Jamie Adams (Jami); sisters, Amanda Adams and Marybeth Parchman; grandchildren, Aydin Maier, Ronnie Maier, Aryella Maier, Magnolia Maier, Lilyana Maier, and Koehn Maier; a host of aunts, uncles, and very special cousins; and special friends, James Hood, Brad Pender, Timothy Parish, and Tim Statum.

 He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kirkum and Annie Eglinter Brooks; paternal grandparents, Jamie Adams and Naomi Doss; grandson, Micah James Maier; 2 grandbaby Adams; and father-in-law, Larry Ray Dabbs.
