Sean P Hunter

Sean Patrick Hunter, 49, of Menominee passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024, in Green Bay with his family by his side. He was born September 20, 1974, in Marinette to Patrick Hunter and Donna (Grenier) Hunter. He graduated from Menominee High School in 1993 and worked at Emerson Electric for over 12 years until they closed operations in Menominee. Sean was diagnosed with childhood cancer, he fought hard to survive three bone marrow transplants. He touched the hearts of everyone around him, he truly was our very own super hero. He made it through the most difficult battles in life and fought right until the end. Sean loved spending time with family, trips to the casino, Star Wars, the Green Bay Packers, music, going to movies, taking walks, sitting outside on a warm sunny day at aunt Barbs house and was a rockstar at trivia. Sean had a special way of talking to people, he was smart, sharp witted, and had a dry sense of humor. He will be missed beyond measure, we love you Sean, we will see you in heaven.
Sean is survived by his mother, Donna; two sisters,, Kelly (Jason) Zorn and Shannon (Brian) Shepeck both of Menominee; a brother, Michael (Brittany) Hunter of Papillion, NE; very special nieces and nephews: Kylie (Josh Hintz) Zorn, Kayla (Mason Ray) Shepeck, Hunter Shepeck, Brennan Shepeck and Olivia Hunter; stepmother, Sherry Nason; special godmother aunt, Barb Barker; beloved cousins, Jeremiah and Joshua Barker; and best friend, Chad McKenney. He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Hunter, grandparents: Joseph and Edna Grenier and Jean and Pierre Hunter; uncle, Dan Barker; aunt, Kathleen Hunter; and stepfather, Bill Johnson.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home on Saturday March 23rd from 4pm to 6pm. Funeral Services will be held at 6pm with Deacon Chuck Schumacker officiating.
Sean's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the DaVita Team, especially Jen, the Doctor's and Nurses at Aurora BayCare Green Bay, and for all the support, love and prayers from so many loved ones during this difficult time.
