Serge Marcellus Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Southeast Funeral and Cremation Services - Easton on Jan. 19, 2026.
Serge Marcellus was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on September 19, 1956. He immigrated to Rhode Island from Haiti in a year. In thenb year, he moved to Florida and established a business in Winter Haven, where he became a prominent figure in its Haitian community. He ran his business for over 40 years before retiring. Even in his retirement years, though, he never really stopped working. He is survived by his wife, Geralda, his six children, Dana, Patrick, Randy, Kerane, Shannon, and Abbeygale, his four grandchildren, Aubrey, Jordan, Ciyani, and Patrick Jr., and two siblings, Georges and Marie.

Serge, lovingly nicknamed Sego, will be remembered as a loving father and husband, and a good, hard-working man. He is deeply loved by his family and community for his character, wisdom humor, and giving heart. He was a man that you could truly count on and trust in his word.

Even in his last days, when he spoke, it was to express love for those around him. Let us do the same as he did. Let us have that same character and love for one another. It will be so difficult without him with us, without his guidance and comfort, but let us cherish the memories we had with him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 9:00am to 9:30am in the Southeast Funeral Home 93 Center St. Easton MA 02356. A Funeral Service will follow at 9:30am in the funeral home. Burial will take place at Pleasant Street Cemetery in Raynham, MA.

I will miss Serge, as his neighbor directly next door, we shared our treasures ...... the backyard. Almost every morning, both of us would be outside, checking out the plants, weeding, doing gardening things, we even wore the same garden uniform, a tee shirt and boxer shorts. Wish he was still around, I love sharing plants. My condolences to his family and get that garden in heaven ready. Rocco Basilica
