Seth Alexander Tolber

Our beloved son, Seth Alexander Tolber, passed away on Monday January 30th, at the age of 20. Seth was born to Wendell and Nika Tolber on Tuesday August 6th, 2002 at 11:45pm at St. Ann's hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Pickerington North High School with plans to pursue a career in music, singing and performing arts. After high school, Seth spent his time working while making plans to pursue his career.
Seth received Christ at a young age. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where he spent the following years volunteering and ministering.
Seth was preceded in death by his Grandparents; Leonard J and Mary Lois Walker, Godmother Linda Linley, paternal grandmother Ramona Tolber. Survived by siblings Teesha Tackett, Kennedy Morgan "Marie" Tolber, Keyona Evans-Tolber, Sarina C. Tolber, Wendell J. Tolber II, Lamar E. Tolber, Cierra Light. Seth was blessed with a very large family, including extended family, that will miss and love him for years to come. Each have played a major part in his life. Seth has touched so many lives with his wittiness, jokes, songs, and mostly his counseling character. To completely describe who Seth is, it would take awhile for anyone to read. In an attempt to keep it brief, here is an idea of who Seth Tolber is
Seth came into this world in a BIG way. His mom labored for hours as the doctors were deciding to deliver him naturally or C-section due to how big he was inside of his mother. They decided to go with natural. After several attempts to push on her own, Nika did all she could to push Seth out. With the help of the assisting nurse, Seth was pushed out while the nurse stood on his mom's bed using all her weight to push on mom's belly to push Seth out. It was very interesting.
Seth did not waist anytime becoming a huge young man, but not just physically. Everyone loved his puffy cheeks and his smile that has endured him his whole life. It became a smile that would light up a room or two. He became a friend to a friend who had none. He was very popular in school and loved to sing, dance and theater. Seth set specific goals for his future and was heading in the right direction. He loved his family(s) and friends. There are so many people connected to him, that loved and cared for him. He was always at every family event on both sides of the families.
As a testament to his kind soul, Seth used to play little league football. It was no surprise he was the biggest kid on the team. During practices and games, Seth did not want to tackle anyone thinking he might hurt them. His dad told him he doesn't have to hurt them, just tackle them as though they took your sandwich. That did the trick!
Although inseparable, Seth and his sister Kennedy would get on each other's nerves then wander where the other is when they are not insight. They made many singing, dancing and just plain fun videos together. He also enjoyed spending time with his sister Teesha and although he was younger, became the protective big-little brother to her. Teesha loved Seth so much. His sister Sarina thought Seth was her child, for she cherished and loved him as her own. I think she and Cierra fought over who loved him the most.
Seth obviously loved to eat, but also loved to cook. He could cook or make up something just by seeing it, not really knowing the recipe. Might I add, he was quite good at it. It goes without saying, our hearts are broken with Seth gone, but we have plenty of very good memories of him and our faith gives us hope that we will see him again someday.
