Shanan Lea Flynn Chadwick Rasmussen, our loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away January 31, 2022. Shanan was born on November 3, 1972 in Ogden, UT; Daughter of John Patrick Flynn and Linda Jo Flynn.
She graduated from Ben Lomond High School with honors class of 1990. She was married to Charles Vernon Chadwick Jr in 1991 and together they welcomed Carson Charles Chadwick (1992) and Heather Lea Chadwick (1994). Shanan & Charles later divorced. Shanan married T. Zachariah Rasmussen in 2006.
Shanan worked for AT&T, Village Inn and Jeremiahs Restaurant. She graduated from the Ogden Weber Applied Technology College’s Medical Programing and Billing Program where she then worked for the University of Utah in the Medical Coding and Billing Department.
Shanan was full of life and loved being with her children and family. Shanan treasured being outside in her garden and taking care of her plants. She was a warrior who fought her cancer diagnosis with all of her strength.
Shanan is survived by her husband, T. Zachariah Rasmussen; children, Carson Chadwick (Rosa Chadwick) and Heather Chadwick (Patrick Montoya); Grandmother, Zelda Foster; Parents, John Flynn and Linda Flynn; Sister, Jamie Sheridan (Kevin Sheridan);, Niece and Nephew, Sydnie Fonoti and Greyson Fonoti.
Shanan is preceded in death by her Grandfathers; Joseph Foster and Morris Edward Flynn, Grandmother Jean Flynn, Uncles; Rick Foster, David Flynn, Jerry Flynn and Kevin Flynn, and Aunt Cheryl Flynn.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 12 p.m. at Aarons Mortuary 496 24th Street, Ogden, UT 84401.
