Shannon “Chad” Bolin, 54, of Highlandville, Missouri, passed away on August 29, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving and adoring family and into the arms of his Savior after a courageous battle with cancer.
Chad was born on August 11, 1971, in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Roger and Betty (Pryer) Bolin. He was a proud 1989 graduate of Spokane High School.
On May 24, 1991, he married the love of his life, Buffey Catherine Langston. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three children: twin daughters Callie and Chellsie, and son Jacob.
Chad spent his childhood summers traveling the United States with his parents and brother, Chris who nicknamed him "Dooter." He found an early love for fishing and hunting, and often said his favorite memories were fishing in the mountains of Colorado. Known by many as the best mechanic around, Chad had a gift for fixing just about anything that came his way. He treasured his lifelong friendships with his buddies. To his grandchildren, he was affectionately known as “Pops or Poppy" — a role he cherished most of all. His greatest joy was found in the time he spent with his family.
Chad is survived by his devoted wife, Buffey; his children, Callie Garbee (Ben) of Billings, Chellsie Cutbirth (Ryan) of Spokane, and Jacob Bolin (Brenna) of Highlandville; his beloved parents, Roger and Betty Bolin; and seven precious grandchildren: Brayden, Brock, Emma, Coy, Alexa, Cash, and Wesley; a Mother-in-Law, Marcella Payne; a Father in Law, Danny Langston (Billie); Sisters in Law, Debbie McHaffie, Dana White; and his late brothers children; his niece and nephew, Cody and Danielle Bolin and a host of other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his best friend and Brother, Chris Bolin; Paternal grandparents Vernie and Dorssie Bolin; Maternal grandparents, Dutch and Merle Pryer.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home Nixa, Missouri with a graveside service following at Highlandville Cemetery, Highlandville, Missouri. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, Missouri.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Seasons Hospice and to Stefanie Collinsworth, who lovingly cared for Chad over the last five months and afforded him the comfort and dignity he deserved. They are also deeply grateful to the many families and friends who lifted him in prayer and supported him over the past two years as he courageously fought cancer.
Above all, Chad will be remembered for the deep love he held for his family, his gift for fixing anything placed in his hands, and the remarkable strength and resilience he carried throughout his life.
