Shannon Frazier Gonzales, 45 of Atlantic Beach, Florida passed away on May 17, 2022 after a long-fought health battle. Shannon was born in Newark Ohio on September 17, 1976 to Alan and Diane Frazier. In 1986 Alan moved his family of six to Jacksonville Beach where Shannon resided for 36 years. After graduating high school, Shannon worked in real estate and property management. Shannon married Stephen Lake in 2003 and together they had two children, Chandler and Mackenzie. Being a mother was Shannon's greatest joy in life and all of her ambitions and focus was centered around her precious children. Years after the untimely passing of her husband, Shannon married Israel Gonzales in 2018. Israel was the first best friend she ever had and in the 6th grade, he professed that one day they would be married! It is impossible to incapsulate such a life and to express the magnitude of her lasting imprint in words. Shannon was fiercely loyal, loving, thoughtful and a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister and best friend. She was the best of the best. She was incredibly independent and resilient, with a heart of a lion – when knocked down, challenged under pressure, or faced with personal tragedies, Shannon stood up and always found a way forward. Shannon lived life to the fullest, loved to laugh and have fun – she had the biggest most beautiful smile that radiated any room. Shannon had the greatest stories and jokes; she'd have you laughing so hard your stomach muscles would ache! When a good song was playing Shannon danced no matter where she was at the time! Shannon found peace sitting on the sand, breathing in the salt air, feeling the sun on her face and watching the waves crash upon the shore. The beach was Shannon's happy place and there's no place she'd rather be, especially if she was also in the company of her family and friends. Shannon's light and life can never be extinguished, her memories penetrate our souls, hearts, and minds.
Shannon leaves behind her two most beloved children, Chandler Frazier-Lake and Mackenzie Lake; 3 siblings – Brook Vallesio, (Kevin), Ryan Frazier, Cameron Frazier; Mother, Diane Frazier Lee; nieces and nephews, an aunt and uncle and her best friend of 33 years, C.C. Merritt – Collett and many friends who were considered family.
In the spirit of Shannon, instead of a funeral her family will have a celebration of life in Shannon's memory on June 4th, 2022 at Hannah State Park. The arrangements are under the care and direction of V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services at Beaches Memorial Park, 1500 Main Street, Atlantic Beach, FL 32233. 904-249-1166.

I met you through my job doing pest control for the apartments. You were always friendly and fun to talk to. When I was told you were no longer with us I was shocked and in disbelief. You were so long
