Shannon Guzman-Robles, age 50, passed away Sunday, September 17th, 2023 at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, IL.
Shannon was born December 26th, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Angel Guzman and Kay Kiritani-Guzman. She was one of three children, one preceding her in death- Monica Guzman.
She was married to Juan Robles and had one son who was the light of her whole life, Angel Robles. She also took on a huge role in helping raise her niece Rebecca Rosano-Hoskinson after her sister passed away. Anyone who knew Shannon knew that Angel and Rebecca were the absolute joys of her life, and she wanted nothing more than to watch the two of them grow and flourish. The two of them will continue to make her proud as they navigate this life with the lessons and love she gave them.
Anyone who knew Shannon remembers her as the kindest person in the room & she loved hard. Those who were lucky enough to be loved by her knew just how lucky they were as there was nothing she wouldn't do for those in her life. Shannon fought a long and hard battle with many health issues but it never dimmed her light. She approached each day with the positive thought of another day she got to spend with her loved ones- especially her husband and son.
She encouraged those around her to live their lives to the fullest and to spend their time present with those they care for. She loved, laughed, and persevered through her whole life. To the many who loved her, 50 years will never seem to be long enough but the memories that we can hold on to will get us through the hardest days. That's all she would have wanted from us.
She is survived by Juan Robles(spouse), Angel Robles (son), Rebecca Hoskinson & Tim Hoskinson (Neice and new Nephew), Rick Guzman (Brother), Alyssa Guzman (Neice), as well as many others who loved and cherished their relationship with her.
The family would like to thank you for all the kind words and all of the prayers during this hard time.
To honor her wishes there will be no services but please ask you to take a moment and celebrate her life. Please remember her and all the happiest memories that you have with her-- she wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
