Shannon Lamar Musgraves

Shannon Musgraves 46 ended his life on Friday May 24,2024 by way of suicide after a lifelong battle of mental illness.
He was a loved father, a friend to a few and hated by most. Shannon did good as well as bad but no one seemed to see the good in him. Most of his distasteful actions were due to a mental war he had been fighting since an adolescent.
ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE HIM!
Shannon shared with the world how much he loved his kids and that they were the best thing in his life.
Shannon is an Alton Native who attended Alton High School where he met his 1st love Candis (Warlick)Newsome.
They had their 1st child Shante'Ayna Musgraves a.k.a Shan in 1993 and remained cordial throughout the years.
Twenty years later he had another daughter by his girlfriend at the time Linda (Jirdon) Williams,
whom they named after his late mother Cynthia Musgraves.
Shannon loved cars, cooking/grilling, dogs, playing cards, riding scooters and enjoying the social life with a circle of friends including Henry James and a Special Friend Angie Betts.
He would help the homeless with food, clothes and even shelter. Shannon had worked hard at starting a couple of businesses with his special friend Angie. He was a mentor to many and wanted to provide job opportunities for those who deserved another chance such as himself. He wanted to share his future blessings with others.
The late Shannon Lamar Musgraves leaves behind to hold dear memories. His oldest daughter Shante'Ayna Musgraves a.k.a Shan, youngest daughter Cynthia Musgraves, his two grandchildren, Taumazi Musgraves and Zaylah Musgraves, a few friends, a Special Friend Angie Betts and a host of extended family.
