Shannon Ray Pilkinton, age 53, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with David Buffaloe officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on November 8, 1971, in Columbia, Shannon was the beloved son of Billy Ray and Betty Hanvy Pilkinton. He dedicated twelve years of his career as a machinist at Numatics Actuator before working as a loader operator for Smelter Service Corporation. His skills extended to home renovation and construction, and he also worked with Tom Frey’s Honey Do Repair.
An avid outdoorsman, Shannon found joy in hunting, fishing, and riding dirt bikes. He was also a firearm enthusiast. Above all, he cherished his family, especially his son, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Brandi Curry Pilkinton, son, Gunnar Ray (Claire) Pilkinton of Columbia, sister, Mandy McCoy (Chris Mealer), grandchildren, Abel Ray Pilkinton, Carver West Pilkinton, nephews, Braeden Connor McCoy, Jack Curry Morton, Anthony Bullis, nieces, Zoe Butterworth, Kenley Butterworth, father in law, Jackie Curry, and brothers and sisters in law, Matt Curry, Emily Butterworth (John Hord), Brandon Curry, and Jamie Curry.
He was preceded in death by his mother in law, Connie Curry, and grandparents, Herman & Ophelia Hanvy and Guy & Dorothy Pilkinton.
