Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Shannon Marisol Zepeda of Denver, CO. She was born in 1973 and died at 49 on November 10, 2022, after a period of declining health. She was surrounded by her loved ones at Rose Medical Center.
Shannon was an avid reader and talented seamstress. She was known for her exceptional cooking which brought the whole family together. She showed her love in an abundance of ways, but especially with food. Her house had a revolving door and she would welcome all, with a ready joke and a smile, to an open place at her table.
Shannon adored music of all kinds and shared that love with everyone. There was a soundtrack to her soul. She would wake up with a song in her head and drift off to one at night. Music was of great comfort to her. If you are lucky enough to have known her, then you know there is nothing she wouldn't do for you; Shannon would go to battle for her people. Her loyalty and strength were unsurpassed.
She is survived by her loving son, Noah Arbor Roybal and her devoted partner, Terry Beck. Her brother Rick Zepeda (Jeanelle and daughter Alina) and his daughter, Lauren Zepeda. Her sister Rachel Zepeda (James) and their son, Lucas Rowe. Also, by Shannon's father, Isaac Zepeda. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol McCafferty.
Services will be held on 11/25/2022 at Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. (at Mississippi) Denver, CO 80246. There will be a public viewing 11am-1pm, followed by a Celebration of Life from 1-2pm.
Relatives and friends are invited to join us after the service for a Celebration of Life at The Cornerhouse located at 1515 Madison from 4-7pm.
Floral Arrangements can be sent to Horan & McConaty. Shannon loved flowers.
