Fort Kent--- Shanon Lea Hafford, 43, passed unexpectedly on November 14, 2024, as a result of an accident in her home. She was born August 18, 1981, in Fort Kent, a daughter of Sheldon Hafford and Joanne (Nadeau), and stepdaughter of Elaine (Soucy) Hafford, and was a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1999.
Shanon attended class at University of Maine – Presque Isle and Fort Kent and went to work with Maine Department of Health and Human Services for almost 10 years. She continued her education online to learn to help more people. Before her tragic accident many years back, Shanon had the most bubbly personality and loved going out and socializing with her friends and visiting her family. Shanon loved cooking and was an avid collector of cookbooks. She also had a deep love of cats and adored her three cuddle bugs at her home.
She is survived by her father and stepmother of Fort Fairfield; her mother of Virginia; her grandmother, Florence Nadeau of Fort Kent; half-siblings, Paula and Iris; and many aunts uncles and cousins, too numerous to name.
A Catholic remembrance service will be celebrated on January 4, 2025 at 11:00am at the KC Hall on Main Street, Fort Fairfield, Maine. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.

My first time I met Shanon was a Face Time chat. She needed a friend and I talked with her, cried with her, laughed with her. And we chatted for 3 hours. It was a good chat and we become great friends through texts, FaceTime and calls. We were suppose to get together last summer but, it didn´t work out. We had made plans for 2025. Shanon one day we shall meet for eternal life. I miss our calls, and I miss your sweet face and caring voice. You are loved.
