Shari Lynne Bibbs, 63, of Macon, MO, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon, MO.

Shari was born on December 12, 1961 in Macon County, MO, the daughter of Glenn and Joie (Boulton) Mitts. She graduated from Macon High School in 1980. She was united in marriage to Michael Bibbs on June 27, 1980 at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Redman, MO; where she was also a member. They enjoyed 45-years of marriage. During this time Shari maintained a very active role in the community. She volunteered her time with Macon Women of Today, Macon Jaycee's, Macon County 4-H, and as a Tiger Maw. She later returned to school earning her Bachelor's of Psychology from Truman State University. Shari loved to give back and spent much of her time working as a substitute teacher in many surrounding schools. She was well known for her "cowbell" during Friday night football games. She was sure to never miss an opportunity to support her son David.

Shari was known most as being an avid reader. She learned to love books from a very young age as she was not able to run and play outside as most kids could. Shari was born with Congenital Hip Dysplasia and spent much of her childhood in-patient at Shriners Children's Hospital in St. Louis. She underwent her first hip surgery around the age of 4 and completed Kindergarten while hospitalized. She loved to receive books in the mail with her get-well cards.

Shari loved the farm the most. She spent as much time as she could helping her parents with the farm and cooking family meals.

Shari is survived by her husband, Michael Bibbs of Macon; her son, David Bibbs and his wife Ann of Excello, MO; three grandchildren, Zach, Addy, and Ian; two sisters, Glori Glynne Siebert and her husband Fred of Ten Mile, MO, and Terri Jo Oberto and her husband Layne of Peculiar, MO; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Funeral service will be 11:30 am, Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Redman, MO. Visitation will be 10:00 am, Saturday, until the time of the service, at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Shriners Children's Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
