Born on March 27, 1939 in Carter County, Oklahoma to Robert and Chiquita "Skeet" Godfrey Blankenship. Sharon made the journey to spend eternity with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City with her family beside her.
She met Billy Richard Beane, the love of her life, in the Daily Ardmoreite where they were both featured players in the District tournament. They went on their first date on Saturday night after the tournament and later married on June 28, 1958. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, sister Dana Trueblood and brother-in-law, Chris Trueblood.
Sharon was known throughout the county for her hook shot and performance on the basketball court. She attended Plainview Public Schools and graduated Valedictorian of the Class of 1957. She participated in the PTA, and all school activities, bridge club, selling Tupperware, sewing, gardening, and canning. In 1975 she went back into banking until 1979 when she and Bill opened Beane Western where she worked until retirement.
She enjoyed many years of retirement traveling with Bill and friends, attending the activities of her grandchildren, and watching old westerns, her favorite being Gunsmoke. She was treasurer of Brock Baptist Church where she was a lifetime member.
She is survived by daughter Tammy Burns and husband Jeff, of Madill; sons, Ricky Beane and wife Teri, of Sapulpa, and Brad Beane and wife Melonie, of Ardmore; six grandchildren, Josh, Jarod, and Brandon Beane, Shiann McCracken, Tucker Burns, and Maegan Hale; 10 great grandchildren, Drake, Lily, Ella, Ruby, Sawyer, Collins, Whitley, Madison, Kate, and Maecan; two nieces; Robin and Christie and many relatives and treasured friends.
