Sharon Ruth Carlson, age 85, of Park Rapids, MN, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in her home in Park Rapids, MN, following a lengthy illness. Her family was by her side.
Sharon was born on September 10, 1939, to Einar and Claire (Hanson) Carlson in St. Paul, MN. She worked for many years as a receptionist at Regions, United Hospitals, and a caregiver for her sister. She retired at the age of 78. She was hard-working and loved by many.
Sharon was a talented artist who painted all mediums. She enjoyed painting and drawing. She was a member of the White Birch Artist group for many years. Painting was not her only talent. She loved to sew matching dresses for her girls when they were growing up. She would sew whole outfits for her children. She sewed Renaissance Fair costumes when they went to the events. Her talents did not stop at painting and sewing, she loved to knit and crochet. She was involved with a very special knitting group from Monica's in Park Rapids. They meant the world to her, and she treasured their friendship.
She is survived by her children, Annette (Dave) Fitzenberger , Jacqueline Treon, Erik Treon; a honorary mother to Valerie (Brad) Webber, Areca (Karl) Roe, Orion (Laura) Treon; Honorary grandmother to Henrik and Sylvia Roe.
